The French Flag is flying over the Sydney Harbour Bridge

Florence and The Machine halted their Sydney concert on Saturday night to pay tribute to those killed in the Paris terrorist attacks.

One World Trade Center’s spire is shown lit in French flags colors of white, blue and red in solidarity with France after tonight’s terror attacks. U.S. President Barack Obama described the incident as an attack on humanity.

Celebrated guerilla artist Banksy on his Twitter account made a plea for “Peace for Paris”, posting a painting in which the iconic lines of the Eiffel Tower were fashioned into a peace symbol. It has been reported that another 200 were injured, 80 seriously, including one Australian. “We want to show and prove that we are all one”, the Facebook event invitation read.

A memorial service will be held at St Mary’s Cathedral on Monday evening.
