RI gas prices same as national average; Mass. prices lower
AAA says gas prices statewide have dropped 17 cents per gallon in the last week.
Average retail gas prices throughout the state have fallen 2.9 cents per gallon in the past week, bringing the average to $2.21/g on Sunday (Nov. 15).
The Energy Information Administration says that gas prices at the pump will average a nickel less per gallon in 2016 than it forecast just a month ago.
Several stations in west MI lowered pump prices for regular below the $2 mark over the weekend.
