Thunderstorms possible Monday; severe weather likely Tuesday, Wednesday
Damaging wind and isolated tornadoes will be the main severe elements with this system.
Southerly winds will bring moisture back in and give us clouds and scattered showers on Monday.
The National Weather Service Prediction Center is forecasting a risk of severe thunderstorms across portion of the central and southern Plains.
Up to 5 inches of rain is forecast over two days in parts of Arkansas in storms that could turn severe, the National Weather Service said Monday. The worst of the weather will move in Tuesday.
“With the expected rainfall, more than likely there are going to be instances of flooding, possibly flash flooding”, before the system exits Oklahoma late Tuesday. About 1-3 inches of rain are expected, along with a few of those strong storms.

With the warmer air in place, a cold front will nudge into East Texas early Tuesday morning, sending all of that warm air into the atmosphere, and the result could see a line of storms moving through the area.
Temperatures will remain mild through the week, with a high in the low 70s Monday followed by highs in the 60s into the weekend.
