Universal Debuts First Character Posters For Snow White Prequel The Huntsman
The movie is officially titled The Huntsman Winter’s War which will feature Chris Hemsworth reprising as the titular character.
The first official character posters for Universal Pictures upcoming action-adventure film The Huntsman have been released.
The sequel-turned prequel will reveal the pair’s history, pre-Snow White (Kristen Stewart, not returning after an affair with the original film’s director, Rupert Sanders, was made public). Theron and Hemsworth get off a little bit easier, since they just look like they’re back in the same costumes from the first film.
This time around, the cast includes Jessica Chastain as a fierce warrior and Emily Blunt as Ravenna’s sister, Freya.
The film is being directed by VFX artist Cedric Nicolas-Troyan from a script penned by Evan Spiliotopoulos and Craig Mazin.
Blunt plays Ravenna’s sister Freya, a queen with the power to create ice. The plot will take place “long before the evil Queen Ravenna (Theron) was thought vanquished by Snow White’s blade”. Their posters are so unbelievable we nearly forgot about Chris Hemsworth.
