First photo of Chris Pine as ‘Wonder Woman’ character
1 – Steve’s portion of the movie definitely takes place in the past; they’re clearly wearing World War I garb.
In Wonder Woman’s original story, Trevor is an intelligence officer in the U.S. Army during World War II who crash-lands on Paradise Island, the home of the Amazons, later renamed Themyscira.
Wonder Woman has started filming, and a new cast member, Said Taghmaoui, has shared an image of him and Chris Pine, who’s playing Steve Trevor, via Instagram. The role of this male “damsel in distress” was preceded by Lyle Waggoner in the television series with Lynda Carter that aired on ABC and CBS from 1975 to 1979.
This confirms reports that a portion of the film will be set during World War I, and that Pine will be playing the romantic interest of Wonder Woman, Steve Trevor.
Wonder Woman is directed by Patty Jenkins and screenplay written by Jason Fuchs.
2 – The secret working title of the film is Nightingale. Apart from Gal Gadot as the protagonist and cast members Pine and Taghmaoui; Nicole Kidman is rumored to be one of the cast members of the movie in an unspecified role.
SlashFilm has stated that fans are now wondering what role Said Taghmaoui will play in the film.
As per The Wrap, Taghmaoui had also recently tweeted the symbol of Peace for Paris in the wake of terrorist attacks in his homeland.
Prior to her solo “Wonder Woman” film, Gal Gadot is set to debut her character as Wonder Woman in Snyder’s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice”. Meanwhile, Jenkin’s “Wonder Woman” hits theaters on June 23, 2017.
