Two Palestinians shot dead in West Bank refugee camp
Israeli forces killed two Palestinians in the Qalandiya refugee camp at dawn on Monday during a raid to demolish the home of an alleged Palestinian attacker, witnesses said.
The case – which was put on hold by Judge de la Mata previous year – was brought against the men following an attack by Israeli security forces against the Freedom Flotilla aid ships in 2010, which was trying to reach Gaza.
Tough clashes took place, when the IOF stormed the camp, eyewitnesses said.
Since the beginning of October Israeli forces have killed 83 Palestinians.
Dozens of Palestinians were injured in the attack with Yusuf Abu Latifa, 17, said to be critically wounded.
Shortly after, over 1,000 Israeli soldiers re-rolled into the camp, and sealed it off from all corners, sparking violent clashes, and Laith Manasra was shot-dead.
Three “hits” were confirmed, the military said, without elaborating.
Spanish judge Jose de la Mata ordered both the police and guardía to notify him should Netanyahu or one of six other Israeli officials cross Spain’s border. Many other factions of the Palestinian national movement remain equally committed to violence, and the Islamist Hamas movement-which came to power in Gaza in 2007-remains openly genocidal in its stance toward the Jewish state.
The rest were killed in clashes with security forces in the West Bank.
In a bid to halt a wave of knife, gun and car-ramming attacks that began at the start of October, Israeli authorities have moved to expedite demolitions of suspects’ homes, a controversial measure meant to act as a deterrent.
Recent months have seen a dramatic surge in Israeli demolitions of Palestinian civilian homes, triggering the wrath of a plethora of national and worldwide human rights organizations.
On Saturday Israel arrested a Palestinian suspect in the killing of two Israelis in a drive-by shooting in the West Bank on Friday.
The home on the top floor of a three-storey building was destroyed with explosives, residents said, also damaging the other floors and nearby residences. Also that day, the military demolished a fourth home belonging to a man who killed an Israeli on his way home from a basketball game.
