One Heroic Guard Saved A Stadium Of 80000 People In Paris
A potential attacker wearing an explosive vest had a ticket to enter Stade de France, which hosted a France vs. Germany friendly game on Friday night.
The guard-who asked to be identified exclusively by his 1st name, Zouheir-stated the attacker was discovered sporting an explosives vest when he was frisked at the doorway to the stadium about 15 minutes in to the game.
One victim was killed when the first explosion went off in Saint Denis near the Stade de France during a football match between France and Germany. While he backed away from Zouheir and the other security guards, he detonated the vest.
Multiple attacks including explosions and shootings have left at least 100 people dead, according to police sources.
Moments later, a second terrorist blew himself up outside the stadium and a third set his belt off inside a nearby McDonald’s, killing one civilian.
Police secure the area outside the Stade de France stadium, on the outskirts of Paris, on November 14, 2015.
Germany is due to play the Netherlands in Hannover on Tuesday but has delayed its journey.
However, leading French daily L’Equipe have reported their version of events of what happened at the Stade de France, with a few noticeable differences.
French President Francois Hollande has vowed that France will wage “merciless” war on the Islamic State group, after the jihadists claimed responsibility for the attacks, which included restaurants, Friday night.
Hollande was attending the game, but was evacuated from the stadium after the first explosion.
The German players released a joint statement which gives the details of how they came to play a friendly match of football, but the terrorist attack gave them an altogether different experience. “We didn’t want to take any risks and we didn’t know either whether all routes would have been secure, so we stayed”.
Firstly I thought the attack was cracker but once I saw President Hollade being rushed from the stadium it was clear for me that I was not as simple, he added.
