‘Dancing with the Stars’ Recap: The Final 4 Perform in the Semifinals
Dancing with the Stars is just one week away from the finale of season 21, but there’s been plenty of drama in the past week.
But that’s the way this TV talent show operates.
Here’s how everyone ranked at the end of Semi-Finals Night. On tonight’s semifinal episode of DWTS each of the remaining four celebrities will dance not once but three times. I felt that both dances should have gotten flawless scores, but while Bindi did get that 30, Carlos came up one point short with a 29.
In a pre-taped package Bindi also opened up about what it was like growing up filming documentaries with her family. Nick recovered from his earlier stumble with a flawless routine, but Bindi’s turnt up sex appeal sealed the deal for the extra points.

Meanwhile, underdogs Alek and Lindsay were ready to grab all the attention of the “DWTS” judges. Normally the semi-finals would include two dances each, but with one less couple competing tonight, producers filled the void by adding a third performance – a dance-off. The combination won these hoofers a flawless score. “Dancing With The Stars” is an American dance competition directed by Alex Rudzinski. In fact, his mentor and partner gave Carter a talking to in the middle of the performance which was a very unusual situation, indeed. Even though he has always floated around the bottom of the leaderboard, he’s still a strong contender. Alek and Lindsay, and Carlos and Witney, performed their own cha cha routines.
In the second dance off, Bindi and Derek took on Nick and Sharna. Their assigned dance was a samba. Carrie Ann wanted more “straight dancing”, and Julianne said she felt the Big Time rush alum and his partner were “losing [their] connection a little bit”.
Monday night’s episode of DWTS features the trio dances as well. What a fun threesome! The dance, a jazz number, had the young Australian working her way in and out of a box. The imaginative routine and the adeptness on the part of the non-professional earned this winning team a flawless score.
Nick Carter and Sharna Burgess will dance a tango to “Scars” and will be joined for their trio dance by Peta Murgatroyd, who is making a triumphant return to the ballroom floor after suffering an injury, which left her unable to dance this season. Who would be in line to earn the right to say they were the season 21 winners? Carlos and Witney edged out their competitors and took home an additional 3 points.
