2 newborns found dead near auto lot in Philadelphia
Autopsies had previously been performed on two babies whose bodies were found next to a trash-littered used auto lot in Philadelphia, police said on Sunday.
What makes the case even more weird is the fact that the babies, one boy and one girl who appear to be newborn, had wounds and laceration consistent with medical autopsies.
Police are now calling two dead newborns found in Philadelphia, John Doe and Jane Doe. One boy said he thought the bodies were dolls. However, the smell alerted the children next morning, leading their parents to contact the police.
“The first thing that came to my mind was, well, they’re probably real babies”, explained Ronnie Jackson, the boy’s father. Both appeared to be a day or so old. The other one was very small and had the umbilical cord inside the stomach. He reported that their bodies were blue and had cuts running along their stomachs and heads.
