Odell Beckham Jr. makes wonderful 87-yard TD grab vs Patriots
However, Manning and the offense did nothing after recovering a Brady fumble at the Patriots 31 leading 23-17 early in the fourth quarter. Beckham’s TD was the longest against any Bill Belichick-coached team in 360 games….
Without a doubt, this was the most grind it out game of the Patriots’ 2015 season. After Brown made a 53-yarder, the Patriots answered with a 76-yard Brady-to-Rob Gronkowski connection with 11:33 left in the game. The Patriots would seemingly score a touchdown on a LeGarrette Blount end-around, but David Andrews was called for a hold to bring the score back. But Giants cornerback Trumaine McBride intercepted a pass intended for Brandon LaFell at the 1-yard line.
Even though it may not have been as good as Brady would have liked, the quarterback got it done when it mattered most, just like he’s been doing all season and his entire career.
The Packers return to Lambeau Field after dropping two straight on the road to Denver and Carolina, and they will do so with a new starting running back. When the Patriots and the Giants last faced off in a regular-season game in New Jersey, in 2007, New England was on its way to a flawless regular season.
“They’ve always played us pretty tough, so we’re expecting their best”, Brady said. Beckham embellished his celebration with a salute to the crowd; the Giants honored the military before the game.
Stephen Gostkowski has yet to miss a kick this season.
Adrian Peterson ran for 203 yards on 26 carries, including a game-sealing 80 burst with 1:50 left.
“We’ve had game after game where the stakes were high and they’re going to get higher each and every week”, said Newton, who also ran for a touchdown. His deep pass into the end zone to Dez Bryant from Tampa’s 45-yard line – when the Cowboys were only about 10 yards from kicker Dan Bailey’s field-goal range – was picked off by Bradley McDougald.

Brady makes a few rare mistakes, then comes through. They spent a moment together on the field after the game to discuss the battle.
That left room for Brady, who hit Danny Amendola three times for 32 yards on the winning series. However, the ball popped free as Collins hit the ground.
The drive would have ended and the Patriots likely would have flown home with a loss had Amendola not come up with a 12-yard catch on fourth and 10 from the Patriots’ 20. They took control from the start of the second quarter to late into the fourth. This one finally went to the Patriots.
But they also were plagued by critical pass interference penalties, and lost top receiver Julian Edelman (foot) in the first half. It seemed as if the Edelman injury was the tipping point for this team. If Edelman is forced to miss time, Amendola would presumably be the biggest beneficiary. For now, the important thing is that the Patriots did survive and get the win. Hopefully they will return at least one of Sebastian Vollmer or Marcus Cannon next week.
The cornerback got kind of a raw deal on the Giants’ opening drive, when he had decent coverage on Odell Beckham Jr. but allowed a reception up the right sideline for what should have been a gain of about 25 yards. Beckham roasted Malcolm Butler on the play, and then FS Devin McCourty took a bad angle, letting Beckham run all the way to the end zone. Butler was brash and in Beckham’s face for most of the day, and he backed it up.
