Texans QB Brian Hoyer examined for concussion

New Southeast Missouri State women’s basketball coach Rekha Patterson recorded her first as a head coach Monday night 78-66 over Harris-Stowe at the Show Me Center.

The Carolina Panthers at 9-0 in the NFC is the only other undefeated team remaining after Cincinnati’s final chance for victory ended with receiver A.J. Green losing a fumble on the Houston 22 yard line with 40 seconds left.

“We’ll be all right”.

It was clear early on the Bengals’ offense wasn’t in sync and not as prepared for this game as they should have been.

One reason to get excited: The Texans’ defense has grown during the season.

Yates’ touchdown pass decided a lackluster game by both offenses.

The Bengals took a 3-0 lead late in the first quarter thanks to the defense forcing Houston go three-and-out on its first two offensive series of the game. Giovani Bernard ran for just 36 yards on eight carries and Jeremy Hill ran for just 15 on seven carries. The Bengals had to settle for three points on their third possession of the first half when a first-down reverse to Marvin Jones was blown up for an 8-yard loss deep in Texans territory.

On his third completion – the touchdown – Yates added to his legacy of beating the Bengals. Texans OLB Jadeveon Clowney was inactive Monday with a back injury. The Bengals are 11-21….

One reason to panic: The Texans’ running game struggled again.

A flawless season dissolved into another prime-time horror show for the Bengals. They were coming off a 31-10 win on Thursday night over Cleveland. They were one win shy of their longest streak ever.
