Peyton Manning has tear in plantar fascia
“During his three years with Fox and Gase, Osweiler’s work was limited to mop-up duty late in blowout wins”.
Sources told ESPN that Manning has battled plantar fasciitis for weeks but is believed to have aggravated the injury against Indianapolis on November 8, resulting in a partial tear of his plantar fascia. On Monday, the cause of Manning apparent woes have come to light.
“I want to try to get healthy this week”, Manning said, via Mike Klis of 9News.
Peyton Manning had a historically bad outing in Denver’s loss to the Chiefs yesterday and was benched for his troubles.
Kubiak said in hindsight he regretted playing Manning against the Chiefs: “I am disappointed in myself”. It’s an aggravation of a previous injury and his status for Sunday is in doubt, as the focus now is on getting him healthy. I’m disappointed in myself. Maybe that was the wrong – maybe that was a false feeling by me or whatever that was.
The news came on Monday afternoon in a press conference, as Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak said that the quarterback will be unavailable for the game in Chicago. “That’s what I thought”, Manning said.
“I feel for them when it doesn’t go good, but they handle it and I handle it”, Archie said, per the AP. “I think he understands the position I’m in, and I sure as hell understand the type of person he is and the player he is”. Look for the Denver Broncos to right the ship in a week 11 matchup against the Chicago Bears. But Manning’s performance hurt the team, and it was apparent from the first attempt to TE Vernon Davis that Manning didn’t have any power on his throws.
There was no timetable provided, but Manning will nearly certainly be held out of the lineup for a few time. “We’re all-in this week as a football team to get better and get ready to go play”.
Osweiler will start against the Bears on Sunday, his 25th birthday, because the Broncos decided Peyton Manning is too battered with shoulder, rib and foot injuries to play. But at the same time, Peyton is still our guy. “I wasn’t off to the best start”. “I’m the starter for this week at Chicago, but that’s all it is”.
So, to prepare for his first career National Football League start, let’s familiarize ourselves with Osweiler, starting with what you probably already know about him: He’s super tall.
Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning (18) fumbles the ball under pressure from Kansas City Chiefs nose tackle Jaye Howard (96) during the first half at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. But I stand by Peyton and support him 100 percent.. It was the low point of a season filled with struggles for Manning, who at 39 has seen a rapid decline over the past two years as his injuries begin to mount.
“Everything that we’ve been doing offensively, Brock’s been doing the same thing in practice”, Kubiak said.
