The College Football Playoff committee already gave Stanford a good boost in the rankings heading into Week 11. With the OR defense looking to capitalize off of the touchdown a tough penalty turned the momentum.

Season defining win: Going into the night the Ducks had two losses they deserved; those being at MI State and of course Utah. If only the Washington State loss had not happened we would be thinking much differently now. Regardless, this is an enormous win for the OR football program.

The Cardinal got touchdown runs from Hogan and McCaffrey and powered their way to 276 yards on 43 plays in 21:32 of possession.
