Muslim TV host reveals how to beat ISIS
ISIL wants to be feared and make people angry, Aly argues, in order to start World War III as a battle between Muslims and the rest of the world.
During October and November alone, ISIS claimed responsibility for at least 10 terrorist attacks around the world, most notably the recent Paris attacks, Beirut bombing, Russian plane crash in Sinai and others before that, such as the Texas shooting. “They have told us that”, he said.
Calls for troops on the ground in Syria were were a common topic of conversation with world leaders following the attacks in Paris on Friday night.
Meanwhile, Waleed Aly took a far more measured (and censored) approach during his succinct analysis on The Project. This is a strategy that has helped them to radicalise Muslims in the Middle East, and is something they’re now attempting to take global.
He went on to say: “ISIL leaders would be ecstatic to hear that Muslims have been reportedly threatened and attacked in England, America and here in Australia because this evil organisation has it in their heads that if they can make Muslims the enemy of the West, then Muslims in France and England and America and here in Australia will have nowhere to turn but to ISIL”.
Mr Aly said the group’s false image of all-powerful terror aims to divide between Muslims and non-Muslims to create a “great war”. I’m furious at these terrorists. “They want you to get angry”, Waleed says, of ISIL. I’m sickened by the violence, and I’m crushed for the families that have been left behind. It is that black and white.
“Isil’s weak”, Aly began, “I know it doesn’t look like that now, but it’s the truth”.
Yet it is his praiseworthy closing remarks that are the most empowering, as he unequivocally describes the terrorist organisation as ‘dumbfounded in its stupidity and blood-curdling in its barbarity’.
Taking on ISIL sounds complex, but “all you need is love”. “Because Isil told us they don’t want you to know that in their monthly magazine”.
“And I’m pretty sure right now, none of us wants to help these bastards”, he said.
Aly also spoke to social media users who tend to speak out of anger.
