Ryan Gosling Confirms Role In Blade Runner Sequel
Considering how little Deckard spoke in Blade Runner-the movie’s most memorable monologue went to the villain Roy Batty-it actually seems that Gosling is a logical choice.
After months of speculation, “The Ides of March” star Ryan Gosling has confirmed that he’ll be appearing in Ridley Scott’s “Blade Runner 2″… but who exactly will he be playing?
Speaking with Collider while promoting his upcoming performance in this December’s The Big Short, Ryan Gosling broke the silence on rumors of him starring in the hotly anticipated sequel, or as it’s reportedly titled, Androids Dream.
Fans hoping for a few more tidbits of information will be disappointed though, as the actor also said there’s a chip in his head that will explode if he says anything else. “Blade Runner 2” is scheduled to hit theaters in 2017.
We made a decision to start the film off with the original starting block of the original film. We always loved the idea of a dystopian universe, and we start off at what I describe as a “factory farm” – what would be a flat land with farming. No fences, just plowed, dry dirt.
Meanwhile, Ridley Scott previously revealed the plot of the new movie had convinced Harrison Ford to return to the franchise. It’s a bit like Grapes of Wrath, there’s dust, and the tree is still standing. You’ve got 16 Klieg lights on the front, and this combine is four times the size of this cottage. “The Nice Guys” opens in theaters on May 20, 2016. Plotline is yet revealed but Scott said in September that Ford is going to be a Replicant.
