Withings launches new fitness tracking watch, Activite Steel, priced between
Withings impressed us earlier this year with the Activité, a classy wristwatch with fitness tracking capabilities but an intimidating $450 price tag.
Activite Steel shows the user two dials, similar to the other devices. The device automatically detects activities, like running and swimming, and will monitor sleep when worn at night. The device can even log how long it takes for its wearer to fall asleep, duration of sleep, light and deep sleep cycles and sleep interruptions. Now Withings has come out with a wearable that sits somewhere in the middle: The $170 Withings Activité Steel.
The Steel is available now straight from the French watchmaker for $169.95.
With a stainless steel case, chrome hands, and a silicone strap, the Activé Steel has what Withings called “a distinctive masculine feel”. The smaller tachymeter-inspired sub-dial will show you just how much you’ve progressed toward your activity goal throughout the day – it’ll reset to zero after midnight.
You can order the Withings Activité Steel now. Powered by a standard watch battery that lasts up to 8 months, there is no need for regular charging and the device is water-resistant up to 50 meters.
Withings today announced the latest member of its Activité line of activity trackers.
