ACTRESS ASSAULTED ‘NCIS’ star pummeled by Hollywood homeless man
Pauley Perrette was attacked by a homeless man near her home in Hollywood Thursday night.
“Perrette tweeted, ‘I am shaken and traumatized. I nearly died tonight”, Pauley added in her emotional tweet.
The homeless man, who identified himself to Perrette as William, proceeded to pin the actress to the ground, and repeatedly punched her in the head and face while telling her he was going to kill her.
The 46 year old actress stated that her attacker said that his name was William and after she told him that his name is handsome as he shares his name with her nephew, he began to hit her again. The police eventually tracked the guy down and arrested him for felony assault, Pauley says. Immediately after the assault, Perrette drew a sketch of the man. “I took a pen and I immediately, in shock, like drew a picture of the guy, ’cause I didn’t have a camera”, the actress told ET.
Perrette detailed the harrowing incident in a document on her computer before taking a screenshot and sharing it with her followers.
Once the assailant finally left her alone, she collapsed on the sidewalk, where she went unnoticed and unaided by a man walking his dog and looking at his phone. She champions several causes, including animal rescue, civil rights and LGBT rights, and works with the homeless in different areas around the U.S.
She texted two friends and provided a sketch of the man, who was headed toward Hollywood Boulevard. We need housing and help for the homeless. He is being held on a 0,000 bond. But, she says, she has compassion for the suspect: “He doesn’t know who I am”. We need to support our cops. We need to not walk alone. “I need to heal”, she concluded.
