Man killed in crash west of Calgary
Traffic has been closed in both directions on Highway 22 from the Trans-Canada Highway to Springbank Road while police investigate.
A collision two kilometres west of the east boundary of Glacier National Park closed the Trans-Canada Highway for several hours between Revelstoke and Golden.
After an investigation by RCMP, it appears that the southbound auto pulled over to the shoulder, made an illegal U-turn and was struck by another southbound vehicle. The driver of the second vehicle then left the crash scene. Two other men have been taken to Queen Victoria Hospital with serious injuries and will be transported to either Kamloops or Kelowna for further treatment.
The 28-year-old male driver of the truck, from Cochrane, was not injured in the crash.
Police aren’t releasing the names of those involved; no charges are anticipated.
