‘Kiss Of Love’ Organizers Rahul Pasupalan And Rashmi Nair Arrested For Running

Model Resmi R Nair and her husband Rahul Pashupalan, who were the main force behind the Kerala chapter of Kiss of Love have been taken into custody by Kerala Police on Tuesday. The couple are among the eleven person arrested in connection with the case. The campaign, which used kissing as a form of protest, was severely criticised by Hindu right-wing parties, including Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Shiv Sena, Bajrang Dal and Hindu Sena. It is said that the gang also injured a few policemen when they were arresting Resmi.

They also allegedly tried to ram a vehicle into a police team.

It is alleged that the couple were in cohorts with a group involved in supplying minors and young children to pedophiles, reported The Hindustan Times.

“Kiss of Love” is a non-violent protest against moral policing which started in Kerala and later spread to other parts of the country.

Reports claim that three others, including a man and two women, escaped in a auto during the raid.

Among those arrested is a notorious gangster named Akbar, a native of Kasaragod. The cyber cell of the Kerala police busted the racket.
