Gionee S6 launched in China with USB Type-C port
Gionee has unveiled a new smartphone under its Slim series dubbed Elife S6 in China.
The Gionee Elife S6 smartphone will go on sale from November 22 and the device is priced at 1699 Yuan ($266, approximately Rs 17,600). The new device is available only thorough reservations from the company website. This is the latest smartphone from Chinese manufacturer and will start shipping from November 22.
The Gionee S6 comes with a 5.5-inch HD AMOLED display with a 720p resolution. It is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor coupled with Mali T-720 GPU and 3GB RAM. Where, the second SIM slot also doubles as the MicroSD card slot.
The smartphone comes packed with a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera along with a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper.
It features modes such as night mode, panorama mode, burst mode, magic focus and more. The handset also supports Full HD 1080p video recording. The handset sports a height of 151.9mm while the width is 74.6mm, which is quite similar to the Apple iPhone 6 Plus. The connectivity options in the phone include 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB Type C 2.0 connector, and A-GPS. The device is backed by a 3150mAh battery. It is claimed by the company to deliver up to 18.8 hours of talk-time and 342 hours of standby time. Additionally, Gionee S6 features a Mali-T720 graphics processing unit with 32GB of internal memory expandable up to 128GB. The device was launched as Gionee’s first “Made in India” smartphone. The device will be available in different colour variants – Pearl White, Dawn White and Black.
