Week 11 Start/Sit for the Jacksonville Jaguars
Marks, who missed the first five games of the season while recovering from a knee injury, could end up on injured reserve.
In a masterstroke of cross promotion, the Jacksonville Jaguars and Uber launch a partnership starting with Thursday’s game against the Tennessee Titans, allowing fans to use Uber to buy game tickets and, of course, get a ride to EverBank Field.
“It’s very unfortunate, because he’s a leader on this team and a leader for this D-line”, defensive end/tackle Tyson Alualu said.
This will be Bortles’ second experience going up against a LeBeau defense.
The Jaguars have given up 28 sacks on quarterback Blake Bortles, giving Titans sack leader Wesley Woodyard an opportunity to add to his four on the season. Taking away their ability to stretch the field will go a long way for +2.5 underdog Tennessee’s defense.
“It was like you were seeing the old Sen’ coming back”, defensive tackle Roy Miller said. “He brings people from all areas and brings, not only linebackers, but secondary players. It sucks. It hurts to watch”. With so many injuries, and a lackluster record on top of that, this is a game that might be a struggle on both sides of the field. “It might be a blessing in disguise to get his footwork down, get his confidence back … just lift and get stronger”. Bortles threw the ball out of bounds on first and second down and T.J. Yeldon ran for no yards on third down. The seven-year veteran McCourty has appeared in only four games this season due to the injury and hasn’t played since Week 8’s loss to Houston. “He’s got a really, really good, quick release, makes really good decisions, that intermediate game, quick game, he does really well on that”. Rookie Thurston Armbrister started in his place Sunday.
Walters has been cleared to participate in non-contact practice, but he remains in the concussion protocol program.
Hurns is visiting with a specialist on Monday regarding a “core” injury.
A spokesman said Tuesday night that the league would have no further comment on the matter.
The Jacksonville Jaguars needed all 60 minutes – and then a few – to secure a rare, uplifting victory on the road. Hurns should be considered questionable bordering on doubtful for Thursday’s game against the Titans.
“That will be a day-to-day thing, but if he is available, that will be something we need to look at”, Bradley said Monday.
“He just has a lot of what we would call exotic pressures”, Olson said, per the Florida Times-Union.
