Charlie Sheen to come out as HIV-positive
According to entertainment site Radar Online, United States police are now also investigating claims Sheen has been having sex with woman post his HIV diagnosis, but not telling them. We will all just have to tune in to NBC’s “Today” with Matt Lauer to get the details from Charlie Sheen himself.
In the wake of the news that Charlie Sheen will appear on the Today show on Tuesday to address reports that he is HIV positive, a source tells ET that the actor’s ex-wife, Denise Richards, and their two daughters, 11-year-old Sam and 10-year-old Lola, are HIV negative.
The source claimed that Sheen became HIV-positive in the years following their divorce. “The interview could open up a lot of sympathy for him, but he has to be concerned about a fear of litigation from former sexual partners”, Bragman said. “They are rumors and I know nothing more than anyone else”.
Sheen, who was sacked in 2011 from Two And A Half Men set after a much-publicised spat with Warner Bros over his behaviour, was making his HIV status public because several former partners were threatening him with lawsuits, reported AFP.
“I, myself – have been to the gynecologist once a year since we split up and have always been tested across the board for everything and have come back clean across the board every time”, Olson continued.
Howard Bragman, a Hollywood publicist, told People Magazine that he’s “known about this a long time, it’s not a surprise to me”. “I feel very sorry for his pain”.
The 50-year-old actor, who starred on TV in “Anger Management” and “Two and a Half Men”, made an appearance earlier this year on “The Goldbergs”, reprising his role from “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off”. And I hope it’s used as a teachable moment for the world.
