For a initial time in history, a flowering stand will be grown on a space station, NASA pronounced in a statement. This one-year experiment is the next, natural step in that direction.

Scott Kelly’s twin brother Mark is also an astronaut and married to former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. On January 8, 2011 Giffords was the victim of an assassination attempt in Tucson, Arizona.

According to Dr. Massa, fresh fruits and vegetables are sometimes present at the space station, but supplies usually run out very fast. Scott Kelly was an excellent choice for this position.
