Ben Roethlisberger named AFC Offensive Player of the Week
Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his Week 10 performance, it was announced today. Ironically, it was just the type of thing that Roethlisberger said players wouldn’t be doing to score a touchdown, but Brown hit it without missing a beat.
Antonio Brown didn’t get the memo, running in for a touchdown and pulling off a ridiculously sick front flip.
Brown, who now has 469 regular-season receptions for 6,400 yards, passed tight end Heath Miller in career receiving yardage on Sunday. If someone misses a risky stunt like that, they could wind up on a list of “all-time worst injuries for stupid and unnecessary reasons”, CBS News writes.
Roethlisberger told Brown after the game not do the flip anymore, according to the Steelers wide receiver.
After the game, Tomlin was asked during his press conference if he was ok with Brown’s flip that ended with him sticking the landing on both of his feet. Brown has logged 423 yards over his last two games and is now on pace to finish with 1,826 yards, which would be the third-highest total in National Football League history.
