Custody hearing set for siblings of 1-year-old burnt to death inside oven
Police say 19-month-old J’zyra Thompson’s death was an accident after the toddler suffered severe burns while playing unsupervised with a kitchen oven. NO WORDS. Police said the girl was left home alone with two other siblings.

According to the Houston Police Department, officers were dispatched just after midnight Tuesday to meet up with firefighters at a call at the Angel Ridge Apartments. At a few point during the night, the children were home alone and began playing with the oven.
The baby’s pregnant mother and her boyfriend have both been taken in for questioning, but no charges have been filed yet.
J’zyra’s grandmother, Gina Dennis, said: “She was a sweet baby”.
The other two children’s ages are unknown.
Child Protective Services say they have been to the residence before.
