Kobe Bryant Would Love to Play in 2016 Olympics
“He wants to try to play every single game”, Scott said, via Jared Zwerling.
The way Scott described it, Bryant is eager to play them all, whether in Charlotte, Toronto or Boston.
“When he says he can’t go, you know he’s hurting”, Scott told reporters in Miami.
Barring a 2016 National Basketball Association finals matchup, this looks to be Bryant’s last game in South Beach. Last season, Bryant lasted 35 games before tearing a rotator cuff in his right shoulder.
Bryant’s continued presence in the lineup is not doing much to help the team in the win column, and he is averaging 16.5 points on a career-low 32 percent from the field.
“I remember coming here for my first game, not knowing what the hell to expect, what to do”, he said. “He’s always been pretty honest with me about that”. Mario Chalmers averages 1.3 steals per game.
Bryant sat out Tuesday’s game with a sore back, depriving Heat fans of what might have been their final chance to see the 17-time All Star play in American Airlines Arena.
The young Laker brigade will take time to find consistency and bring the effort needed on a nightly basis. Wade, 33, idolises Bryant, despite his own success, and said he’s one of a kind. “A physical, gritty, tough defensive minded team and to be able to wear on them in the second half with a few real spirited passionate defensive possessions is what we’re trying to get to”. He did not make plays that left all in the building slack-jawed. Miami already has home victories against the Raptors and Houston Rockets – two teams that will likely be more competitive than the Lakers. “He rebounds the ball extremely well, he guards his guy. He’s one of those guys”. Hassan Whiteside tops in rebounds with 10.9 per game and in blocks with 4.0 per game.
This season also marks the final year in his current three-year extension deal signed with the Lakers back in 2013.
It was a turnover in the fourth quarter, though, punctuated by a flying dunk from Josh McRoberts that felts like the knockout blow for an offense that struggled to even end possessions with shot attempts.
ABOUT THE LAKERS (1-6): Guard Nick Young matched his season high by scoring 17 on Tuesday and veteran Metta World Peace started in place of Bryant and recorded 14 points.
