Shruti Haasan to star in ‘Thani Oruvan’ remake

The film is the remake of Tamil super hit Thani Oruvan and the movie’s pre-production work has started once Allu Aravind took over the project from producer Danayya.

The Tamil film “Thani Oruvan” featuring Jayam Ravi, Arvind Swamy and Nayantara, which released on August 28th has created waves at the Box-Office. So Ramcharan decided to remake the film and banged the rights for 5 crores.

According to reports, Shruti Haasan has been approached by director Surender Reddy for the Telugu version of the M. Raja directorial. Sruthi previously acted in Yevadu with Ramcharan which is a biggest hit in 2012 sankranthi. Shruti was extremely happy with the offer and has readily agreed to Reddy’s proposal as the role has lot of scope to showcase her acting prowess.
