Mi 5, Redmi Note 2 Pro expected
Although Xiaomi did not reveal any details as to what we can expect from the event, this seems to be the last unveiling of the year, which is why Xiaomi refers to it as the “grand finale”.
The long rumored Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro has recently passed through Chinese regulatory band certification body TENAA, and this confirms a few of the rumored features including the fingerprint scanner.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro specifications and features: From the previous leaks and TENAA listing, the Redmi Note 2 Pro is expected to feature a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) display. The new model is also.5mm thicker than the non-pro variant. Just below the rear camera is a dual tone LED flash.
Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 2 Pro could also launch next week, but right now it looks like the Chinese manufacturer will want to keep the focus on one device. Then comes the rounded fingerprint scanner. Under the hood, a MediaTek MT6795 Helio X10 chipset with an octa-core processor is believed to power the device. Even though the Redmi Note 2 Pro will not be the most powerful smartphone on the market, it should be able to attract customers with its affordable price which is said to be of around $170. This is not your typical big.LITTLE chip as all eight Cortex-A53 cores can run simultaneously.
The device packs the same 2 GB worth of RAM, along with 16 GB worth of built-in internal storage capacity.
At the moment, we know of two major releases from Xiaomi, which should take place in the coming weeks or months.
