SCARE IN THE AIR 2 Paris-bound flights cleared after bomb threats
According to Air France, anonymous bomb threats were received for the two flights after the airplanes have taken off from their respective starting points on their way to Paris.
The airline confirmed that a bomb threat prompted the it to interrupt Air France Flight 65 headed from Los Angeles to Paris and divert it to Salt Lake City.

Heinz says a handful of planes are diverted to Pocatello each year with majority having a final destination of Salt Lake City.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police said investigators found no evidence of an explosive device after they searched the plane and luggage.
Passenger Keith Rosso was on the diverted flight and told CNN he had just finished dinner when the staff took trays away and said the plane was landing because of “unsafe flying conditions”.
Four people who appeared to be of “Middle Eastern descent” that were removed from a Chicago-bound flight in Maryland after a passenger reported “suspicious activity” were released without charges.
The source did not know if the same person called in both threats.
“Salt Lake City was in the vicinity of where they were, and the runway is big enough”, said airport spokeswoman Bianca Shreeve.
“The investigation will still be ongoing from a police perspective to determine the credibility and how the threat has occurred”, said Const. Mark Skinner of Nova Scotia RCMP.
“As a precautionary measure and to conduct all necessary security checks, Air France, applying the safety regulations in force, made a decision to request the landings of both aircraft”, Air France said in a brief statement on the matter.
The threats came after last week’s attacks in Paris that killed 129 people and heightened security concerns around the world.
The Islamic State group, which claimed responsibility for the attacks in Paris, has threatened further attacks against France.
“I think it was the best option for the crew, they couldn’t continue if there was any risk of having a bomb”, she said after disembarking.
