Apple Releases iOS 9.2 Beta 4 to Developers
The iOS 9.2 update is confirmed thanks to a beta but Apple hasn’t outlined an iOS 9.2 release date for those outside of those lucky enough to be housed inside the confines of its Cupertino campus. The build number is 13C5075.
As stated below, we’re now slightly closer to iOS 9.2’s public release with the new beta 4 – watch the video embedded below for complete information on the latest beta and jailbreaking. And in that time, we’ve learned quite a bit about the next milestone upgrade for iOS 9.
The new iOS 9.2 beta 4 comes with support for third party action extensions for Safari and also support for AT&T’s NumberSync feature. Visit the Apple Beta Software Program website and sign in with the Apple ID that you’re using on the device you want to install iOS 9.2 Beta 4.
With no iOS 9.1.1 update in sight, the iOS 9.2 is now the only candidate to replace the iOS 9.1 update that Apple rolled out last month. iOS 9.1.1 or not, iOS 9.2 is the next big update for Apple’s iOS 9 operating system.
According to the newest speculations, Apple jailbreak fans will not have that long to wait as the year may end with jailbreak versions of the newest iOS versions already out. Starting with iOS 8, Apple has consistently updated its official iOS versions, and security updates have become more robust that a few iOS versions have stayed official, with no jailbreak versions.
The confirmed release date of iOS 9.2 is not confirmed, however, the new release would undoubtedly turn the tables for Apple authorities. It has released four iOS 9.2 betas in three weeks so it’s clear that the company is pushing towards a public upgrade. When it does, simply tap the “Download and install” button to install the latest pre-release build onto your device.
