CCTV shows woman barely escape Paris restaurant shooting after terrorist’s gun
New video has emerged of the moment a terrorist opened fire on a Paris cafe, with one woman barely escaping with her life after his gun jammed.
There is also remarkable footage of a 20 year old waitress who ducked under the bar and wrapped her arms around an older, injured woman as the Islamic State gunman who sprayed the restaurant and its outdoor dining area with bullets. French President Francois Hollande had called the attack an “act of war” towards their nation and had intensified strikes in Syria, a retaliation to the terror strikes.
One woman on an outside patio run into the restaurant after she was reportedly shot in the wrist.
The restaurant is not named in Daily Mail’s accompanying article but examination by The Associated Press suggests it is Casa Nostra, a pizzeria near the Bonne Biere, another restaurant hit by the attackers and where five people were killed.
Miraculously, all of the people and staff inside the restaurant were able to survive the attack, which lasted less than a minute.
A man who had just showed up to pick up a pizza was shot in the back and later died in the street, according to the Daily Mail.
The gunman in the footage is believed to be Salah Abdeslam, a 26-year-old Belgian born jihadist. He is seen in the video climbing into the terrorists’ getaway vehicle before they dart away.
The assault formed part of a series of coordinated attacks across Paris in which a total of 129 people were killed on Friday night.
He is still at large.
