Chelsea Does: Chelsea Handler Series Coming to Netflix in January
Netflix has released a teaser for the new four-part documentary series Chelsea Does, with star Chelsea Handler showing you her “serious side”.
Well, fear not, because Chelsea Handler will be back onscreen, albeit in a slightly different format.
“I haven’t had a lot going on recently”, she says in her first Netflix promo.
It’s been 14 months since Chelsea Handler said goodbye to her late night show Chelsea Lately on E! in August 2014, and fans have been anxiously awaiting her return to television. “So I decided, ‘Screw it, why not do something completely different?'”
Handler’s upcoming series will focus on four hot topics – drugs, racism, marriage and Silicon Valley – and she promises that the docs will allow her to show her “serious side”. Chelsea Does, a new docuseries starring the comedian will premiere on the streaming service in January, the company announced on Wednesday. A specific release date for Chelsea Does is not yet announced. Her four-part series is entirely separate from her forthcoming talk show with Netflix, which is expected to premiere later in 2016, according to Variety. “And I think I’ve only been in situations where I’ve been told what to do a number of times, and I didn’t respond well to that”.
