“UCF’s A.J. Davis posterizes 7’6” defender with thunderous dunk

A dunk by Fall, with 26 seconds left in the game, forced an overtime period that saw Ndiaye score three of his five points to edge out the narrow victory for the ‘Eaters. The UCI Anteaters’ Center never gained the rhythm as he stumbled into foul trouble while UCF Knights’ Fall recorded six points along with seven rebounds and four blocks- not bad for a rookie with just two years of formal basketball experience. “It was Tacko’s second game, and not having practiced a lot, to be put in that atmosphere against a more experienced Mamadou”.

Ndiaye scored 3 of his 5 points in overtime to account for UC Irvine’s total and A.J. Davis knocked down two free throws in OT for all of the Knights’ points.

“Now I can see how people feel when they play against me”, Fall said after the 61-60 overtime loss.

Late in the first half, Fall has two points, blocks, and rebounds, while N’Diaye has been held to just one rebound so far. “I had to play good defense on him and make a statement once the game started”.

UCF and UC-Irvine will present unique challenges to opponents this season with each team starting a 7-foor-6 center. He returned 10 minutes later.

Both teams struggled to shoot in the first half as they both shot under 33% from the field.

Earlier in the day, Fall and Ndiaye – who are both from Senegal – met for a photo shoot and had a chance to talk.

Fall didn’t give them much to cheer about, though.
