Bucks’ Parker to return against Cavs following foot sprain
The Bucks beat Cleveland in overtime during their last meeting and they are also getting Jabari Parker back for this one and that should help their offense.
Parker suffered a sprain in his right foot over the weekend and was initially expected to sit out three games, beginning with Tuesday’s matchup with the Wizards.
Can the Cleveland Cavaliers end their streak of failed covers tonight when they host the Milwaukee Bucks at 8PM ET?
The injury is preventing Parker from joining Milwaukee in its three-game Eastern Conference road trip which began last Tuesday with a 115-86 defeat to the Washington Wizards. He played in four consecutive games before being rested in Denver last Wednesday on the second night of a back-to-back set.
If the swelling and pain is gone by game time Thursday it is very reasonable to think he could play but it is still no guarantee especially when you consider that he is also working his way back from major knee surgery. He has been limited to just five games, returning slowly from a season-ending ACL injury that cut short his rookie season in 2014. It wasn’t until Sunday’s game against Cleveland that he finally reached 30 minutes which was a good sign he would be back to normal minutes before too long but then this setback happened.
Jason Kidd said that Jabari Parker is simply dealing with a few soreness in his right foot, and he hopes to have him back on the court within “the next couple days”. He’s averaging 7.2 points and 3.4 rebounds while shooting 50 percent in 22.4 minutes per game.
