Konami to give PES 2016 owners UEFA Euro 2016 content free
We don’t usually get to see DLCs released for free unless they are coming from CD Projekt and they are for one of the Witcher games, but it looks like other developer and publishers have seen that they can reward users for their loyalty, and not just to test that loyalty by asking for money.
Konami has revealed exactly what it’s going to do with the Euro 2016 licence – give away the content for free. “The PES Production team appreciate their fans and want to reward their support and bring back confidence in the Data Pack releases”.
In our review of the “AMAZING” PES 2016, we said “After the rebuilding comes the refinement – though that doesn’t do justice to the myriad improvements that help transform a great football game into an all-time great”.
Thus, Konami assured that next year they will be launching a special Data Pack based on UEFA Euro 2016, which will be free as compensation to all players and so they might “regain their trust”. “All content delivered by data pack” could be simple team updates for PES 2016, while the company releases a separate paid DLC add-on featuring all the EURO 2016 logos, tournament structure, stadia, achievements and the like.
The next data pack is scheduled for early December and it will include the Maracana stadium, more player faces, new national team kits, club teams and the player roster which was confirmed on October 19.
He continued: “We strive to keep delivering quality content to our fans, for free”. Let us know your thoughts below.
