Cesc Fabregas admits that Chelsea’s season is “f**ked”
Cesc Fabregas feels nothing is going right for Chelsea this season, unhappy with their displays so far. Fabregas, who has been a shadow of the player who bamboozled defences last season, admits things just aren’t going their way.
“When things don’t go right I can’t sleep at night”, Fabregas said. I have these medals at home.
“Football is my life”. It is everything to me. “I love the football here, I still have a house in London, and I would like to be with a team that is competitive in England and in Europe”.
The Spain global was one of a number of players Blues manager Jose Mourinho said had underperformed this season. It’s not the best time at the club and we want to lift ourselves up and to start playing better.
“Mourinho was our rival [when Fabregas was at Barca], the same as Real Madrid, the same as Sergio Ramos, as Pepe, as Cristiano…We wanted to win against Real Madrid, but not for personal reasons”.
As well as things going to pot on the pitch, Fabregas has also been forced to publicly deny that he was leading an anti-Jose Mourinho revolt within the Chelsea camp.
I can not support him even more than I am doing.
“I am always saying he deserves it, 100%”.
During his three years at the Santiago Bernabeu, Mourinho was involved in a number of bust-ups with several players, but guided Madrid to a league title and three Champions League semi-finals. Those of us who have been most criticized are Eden Hazard, Diego Costa and myself, but you get used to it. We’re not doing well in the league at the moment. When you don’t win, everything is tougher, but we have to be united and strong with the fans and the boss.
Chelsea will face Norwich City at Stamford Bridge this Saturday. They have a few really good young players – Coutinho, Firmino, Benteke. Sometimes, 80 per cent of the time, he is important as he scores the goals, ‘ said Fabregas. In the end it was no longer good, most of the fans weren’t happy.
