As most of you will be well aware by now, Arrow star Stephen Amell will take on the role of Casey Jones in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 and he has been teasing fans about what to expect from the character.
In an interview with IGN Live at Comic-Con, Amell has revealed that the Casey Jones he is portraying has a different personality from its comic book version. “He is not the Casey Jones that a lot of comic fans have come to know and love”.
The actor had previously set the record straight about the similarities Casey Jones share with Oliver Queen, the character he plays on the hit TV series “Arrow“. He described his character as a New Yorker who loves hockey. When things go awry, [and] when he goes through the normal methods of what someone would do when they’re [a] law-abiding citizen and he’s met with laughter and scorn… he decides to take things into his own hands.
That’s a Dodge Hellcat Challenger, which is a pretty fine machine for someone who drives around New York City wearing a hockey mask and fighting crime.
Casey Jones isn’t the only classic TMNT character being introduced in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, and it will be interesting to see how the likes of Baxter Stockman (Tyler Perry), Bebop (Gary Anthony Williams), and Rocksteady (Stephen Farrelly).
