Adele Talks Danger Mouse, Gains New Perspective on ‘Someone Like You’
Rumor has it: Adele recorded a duet with Beyoncé. But on Tuesday, Adele halted the self-promotion train mid-interview to clear up a rumor about her peer Beyoncé.
“I started a couple years before I actually started, and I clearly wasn’t ready”, Adele said when asked about the four-year delay since 2011’s 21. “I’d never disrespect her like that”.
Adele performed a number of songs off her upcoming chart-breaking album 25 tonight (November 18) at New York’s Radio City Music Hall, including the already released hit songs “Hello” and “When We Were Young”. Which I would never be so disrespectful as to do.
She added: ‘I was always yearning for something and I never knew what it was and then I got pregnant.
That being said, what up with that collab tho, ladies?
Recent reports suggested the insane In Love icon had reached out to Adele to propose plans for the singers to team up in the studio, but the British soul sensation wasn’t interested. I love Alabama Shakes. And here, like in her earlier works, it is her ability to tackle life’s emotional moments with a maturity well beyond her years that makes the songs compelling enough for repeated listens.
Meanwhile, the Grammy-winning singer has revealed that her new album nearly never happened as she considered walking away from music for good due to fears she couldn’t live up to the success of her ground-breaking album 21.
‘I was basically dribbling as she was talking to me.
‘He came closer and said: “Adele, can I just have one minute with my wife?”
She said “For a really long time, I was trying to write songs about my kid because [motherhood] is the biggest thing in my life, but they were boring to everyone who wasn’t their mum. A lot of my fans probably don’t want to be parents”. “So, sorry, I’ll make your ears bleed again”.
