Raids as France steels for more attacks
French President Francois Hollande has attended a gathering at Sorbonne University, in memory of the victims of Friday’s attacks in Paris. Salah Abdeslam is the brother of Ibrahim Adeslam, who is believed to have blown himself up during the siege at the Bataclan.
He said countries bordering Syria such as Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan “are already bearing an extraordinary burden” from the flow of refugees and “cannot be expected to do so alone”.

Police have named Brussels-born Salah Abdeslam, 26, as a “dangerous” and key suspect, after it emerged that French police have unwittingly let him slip through their fingers. Police have warned the public not approach him if he is recognized. “Above all do not intervene yourself”, the alert said.
Abdeslam was reportedly arrested at around 5pm on Saturday in the Molenbeek-Saint-Jean district of Brussels on suspicion of being connected to the attacks. “Terrorists will never destroy the Republic, because the Republic will destroy them”.
