Rating points to Resident Evil 6 remaster for PS4 and Xbox One
Taking place between the events of Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6, Revelations 2 follows Claire Redfield, Moira Burton, Barry Burton, and Natalia Korda as they endeavour to escape an Afflicted-ridden island facility.
Resident Evil: Revelations 2’s storyline is split across four playable episodes, the first of which is now free on consoles.
In addition to making the first episode free, Capcom has released a $29.99 Resident Evil Revelations 2 Digital Deluxe Edition for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
Capcom also loves to remake and re-release its roster of titles for every conceivable platform.
Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is a co-op survival horror experience in which players team up with a friend or AI partner while exploring an abandoned prison colony filled with undead creatures.
Despite its sales success Resident Evil 6 is an odd choice for a remaster, as its unpopularity with fans caused Capcom to rethink its approach to the whole series. Better graphics? All the post-launch patches of the last-gen iterations? Perhaps you just need an excuse to relive the nightmare or see what all the ire was about.
