Bethesda preparing Fallout 4 ‘beta patch’ for Steam release next week
Story and storytelling has never been a strength for Bethesda, and Fallout 4 is no exception. Once you get to the fifth floor there’s going to broken floors at this point your going to want to quick save after every successful jump to another floor.
Movie Pilot suggests that if Bethesda decides to make the game a reality, it might be a good idea for an online version.
During a red carpet interview with Red Carpet Report (via GameSpot), “Fallout 4” game director Todd Howard said there will be multiple “Fallout 4” expansion packs, but the company has kept mum on their content. According to Howard, all “Fallout 4” expansions will be shaped by fan feedback. The game reportedly sold 1.8 million digital copies in its first three days, so at least a few buyers likely agree. The opt-in option is not available at the time of this article, but expect it to appear just prior or after the patch is released. In Fallout 4, it is the Commonwealth, a post-Apocalyptic rendering of MA.
The developer then turned its attention to supporting Fallout 4 with an upcoming patch. The game has been the subject of much speculation from the gaming community for a long time now, and while a few were not expecting to see it anytime soon, Bethesda gave a nice surprise to their fans by announcing and releasing it this year. “This allows us to make sure each fix is working right, as any change can have unintentional side effects in a game this huge”, Bethesda explained. Despite this, it’s still playable, and with mods and patches coming up hopefully it wont be a problem for long. However, what matters most to players now is the game patch’s scheduled release. There is also no word yet on whether Bethesda will release a patch to target the different issues seen in “Fallout 4”. The company will evidently mirror its updates after Skyrim’s. Once purchased you’ll get Steam keys for all the games and DLC. If you stay alive, you’re able to earn XP. If you earn XP, you level up your character and his or her perks. If you don’t stay alive, you earn a potential headache and valuable time wasted. Emerging from over 200 years of cryo-sleep, you nearly immediately proceed to don a suit of power armor and engage in combat with a death claw; you are then given a clue as to your son’s whereabouts by a psychic woman who happens to be nearby.
So what’s new about Fallout 4 specifically?
As you roam around the Wasteland and take on missions in built-up areas you’ll frequently come into conflict with enemies that range from other human inhabitants to zombie-like ghouls to mutated animals, and you’ll need to handle yourself using the array of firearms and other objects that can be used as weapons. Next, hold aim and your character will pop out of cover.
After you’ve built your first settlement you may want to head out into the unknown with your gun in hand looking for a fight.
