Stanton just wants to dance
“One of the things that we work on is conflict climb, when you’re climbing the pocket because you’re getting pressure from outside”.
Or does it? After the latest performance by Seattle’s offense for most of Sunday’s 39-32 loss to Arizona, then its defense blowing another fourth-quarter lead at the end of it, who knows?
Bears 37, Rams 13: ST. LOUIS – Zach Miller caught two touchdown passes, including an 87-yard score that was Chicago’s longest play since 2010, and rookie Jeremy Langford also had two TDs to lead Chicago.
And Palmer and the offense regrouped to retake control of this game. I mean for it to be my initial reaction.
“My heart”, Stanton said of the dance with a laugh.
“No, seriously”, Palmer chimed in from the cubicle next to Stanton’s in the visitors’ locker room. The teams traded field goals to open the second half before the Seahawks went into serious comeback mode.
One player who was around was left guard Mike Iupati, who was strapped to a gurney and taken off the field in an ambulance after his head-on collision with Seattle’s Kam Chancellor in the first half.
Floyd’s hamstring and Redding’s ankle will keep them day-to-day.
Arians’s concepts have commonalities and precedents, but no coach is better at taking base formations and throwing new wrinkles in the pot. Seattle failed on each of those plays.
Palmer completed 29 of 48 pass attempts for 363 yards and threw for three touchdowns, although he also had two balls stripped out of his hands and tossed one interception, ending the game with a quarterback rating of 96.1. “They executed to get their points, but we made it really easy on them”. A lot of people were saying, ‘Get out of bounds, ‘ and I’m saying, ‘Stay in bounds.
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll saw it from an atypical angle. “We got in our own way”. I think they had five first downs by penalty in the game and that’s too many.
The Seattle Seahawks have dropped their fifth game of the season, putting their record at 4-5 and three games out of first place in the NFC West. The Seahawks are trying to defend back-to-back NFC titles, but are not going to be able to do so if they stick with their current offensive strategy. The Seahawks (4-5) fell three games behind Arizona in the division. He is unshakeable even in the face of defensive pressure and the mistakes it can bring.
“He was fine”, Arians said.
“I really can’t remember (what happened)”, Brown said.
After Arizona lost fumbles on back-to-back drives in the fourth quarter, both of them leading to touchdowns and erasing the Cardinals’ once-solid lead, Carson Palmer could be forgiven for feeling discouraged.
Meanwhile, Graham was targeted eight times but had three catches for 41 yards. “The biggest what-if is what USC could have done with a healthy Steve Sarkisian – or simply a different (better) coach”.
Why there were so many penalties coming off a bye week. The defense was on the field a ton in the first half, and did a great job mitigating the damage and keeping the team in the game.
“We weren’t disciplined”, safety Earl Thomas said. Then the game changed, we went up-tempo and when we didn’t have penalties, we scored.
After the game, Mathieu expanded on that thought.
Jaguars 22, Ravens 20: BALTIMORE – Jason Myers kicked a 53-yard field goal after Jacksonville got one final play on a facemask penalty with no time left, and the Jaguars ended their 13-game road losing streak.
“It’s real frustrating because we know we can play and we’re just not there the way we need to be yet. It’s a shame because we had a great plan”.
After 12 seasons and 152 games played in the National Football League, it was understandable for Carson Palmer to show a little excitement on the Arizona sideline.
He finished the day with just 35 yards on 5-of-20 passing, four interceptions, two sacks and an nearly unheard-of zero passer rating before being benched late in the third quarter. In fact, he very well may catch more passes this season than any player has during Carroll’s tenure.
