Holm thanked Rousey after UFC KO
Holly Holm celebrates after defeating Ronda Rousey during their UFC 193 bantamweight title fight in Melbourne, Australia, Sunday, November 15, 2015.
“If you look at the actual KO-now, she did get nailed, Rousey, with several shots before the finish of the fight”, he said. This girl’s earned it. But you don’t want that person sitting home for five, six, seven months with that championship.
EA Sports spokesman Brad Hilderbrand confirmed Monday that Rousey will still grace the cover along with a male fighter who has yet to be announced.
She told TMZ: “Ronda’s been a very dominant champ and she’s taken the sport to new levels”.
“I don’t think I need to say that”.
Mayweather predicted Rousey will bounce back in time and perhaps even become stronger for having had to endure her latest experience.
Just what are those consequences, and why does one loss on an otherwise unblemished record matter so much?
“LMAO FLOYD TOLD ME TO POST THIS, he want me to do the dirty work”, 50 Cent posted beneath the picture. Her last fight was on August 1 against Bethe Correia at UFC 190.
She said: “I kept telling myself that this was going to be my time and that I should not get too relaxed”. It’s just like boxing; you win a few, you lose a few. Apparently, It wasn’t Holly’s ability and boxing credentials that made him put her money on her, but says that he just wanted to bet against Rousey.
Earlier this week, Rousey took to social media to thank her fans for their love and support, and promised them that she would be back. “The Arm Collector” though took to Instagram and said she will bounce back.
The defeat was Rousey’s first in her distinguished career and the victory was particularly sweet for Holm after Rousey dismissed her opponent’s chances of knocking her out.
She said: “I wonder how Floyd feels being beat by a woman for once?”
Lailla Ali, the daughter of Muhammad Ali and an unbeaten boxer who is now retired was critical of Rousey as well.
Simple, really. Holm’s camp never saw Rousey as anything more than a fighter, with flaws that could be exploited. Leave your comments below.
