Hyde ruled out for 49ers’ game at Seahawks
Running back Marshawn Lynch is questionable for Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers because of an abdominal injury that has limited him the last two weeks.
Wide receiver Paul Richardson will not play against San Francisco.
Lynch didn’t practice on Wednesday – which is his usual off day – and also sat out Thursday. But he did not practice all week and is now out. Probable are left tackle Russell Okung (toe, ankle), tight end Luke Wilson (toe), defensive end Cliff Avril (ankle), wide receiver Doug Baldwin (toe), linebacker K.J. Wright (knee), cornerback Cary Williams (hip), defensive end Michael Bennett (not injury related) and former 49ers defensive lineman Demarcus Dobbs (shoulder).
Seahawks Coach Pete Carroll told reporters that Lynch “is questionable with a positive bend” and that Lynch is expected to play. He has not practiced all week. “He does feel like he’s going to be able to play”. The Seahawks got down early, and he only carried five times for 42 yards.
Richardson was hurt making a 40-yard catch in the second quarter Sunday.
– Cornerbacks Tramaine Brock (shin) and Kenneth Acker (chest, concussion) appear healthy enough to return to the starting lineup, after missing last game. Fifth-year pro Mike Morgan and rookie second-round pick Frank Clark should combine to fill his spot versus San Francisco.
Tomsula confirmed before Friday’s walk-through practice that Hyde would not accompany the 49ers when they fly north Saturday.
Shaun Draughn, a former running back for the Cleveland Browns and signed by the 49ers after Hayne was cut, will likely start against the Seahawks.
