Telltale reveals Game of Thrones Season 2
The series was announced as a multi-title partnership with HBO in 2013 that would run over a number of years, so news that the studio has been “planning the second season all along” should come as no surprise.
The first season of Game of Thrones was different from many other Telltale series’ in that players took the role of several different characters.
The first season of Telltale’s Game of Thrones series began at the end of the TV show’s third season, in terms of story chronology.
Kevin Bruner, the chief executive officer of Telltale Games, was recently interviewed by The Hollywood Reporter where he officially confirmed the Season 2. “We’ve been planning the second season all along”, he says, “but I really shouldn’t be revealing more than that”.
Bruner also hinted that the choices we made during season one have set the stage for things that will occur in season two.
“Telltale’s approach to game development is much more like television than most other game developers”, he explained. “Across all of our series the development process at Telltale spends a significant amount of time upfront in the writer’s rooms with not just writers, but designers, directors and creative input from all across the studio”. It tells the story of House Forrester, a noble family from the north of Westeros, loyal to the Starks of Winterfell, who find themselves caught up in the events surrounding the War of the Five Kings.
