No Streaming For New Adele Album

The 27-year-old singer donned a prosthetic nose and wig and called herself “Jenny” as she joined a number of other impersonators at an audition for a fictitious pilot program at the Wimbledon Theater in London.

The anticipation for “25” has been growing since 2011 when Adele’s last album, “21”, won multiple Grammys and selling more than 11 million copies.

The first single from the record, Hello, broke download and viewing records when it was released last month.

Adele keeping her newly released album 25 off streaming services could be a risky move if she weren’t the current queen of the music industry. Prior to her son’s birth, Adele had been battling critics who constantly comment on her physical appearance in comparison with other singers such as Beyonce, Britney Spears and Rihanna.

On Adele’s third album “25”, which came out Friday, the singer has little interest in gloating about fame or experimenting in style, instead returning to the emotional depths that have so resonated with her vast fan base.

Adele first chats with host Graham Norton where she shows off her clever disguise. “It’s when I just break out in [expletive] tears in the vocal booth or in the studio, and I’ll need a moment to myself”.

Web-radio pioneer Pandora Media, which operates under different rules than its streaming rivals, will have access to the album and offer it to its customers within a few days. I have a family that I love, and I’m a lioness, and I want to protect them, and stuff like that. “And at the same time, it’s concerning that there aren’t many more things of that quality”, Apple Music executive Jimmy Iovine said in an interview.

Taking to her Facebook account earlier today, Adele posted a photo in which she thanked fans for all their support, stating that the release of 25 has been a “long time coming”. “That’s how I know that I’ve written a good song for myself – it’s when I start crying”.
