National Basketball Association Bulls vs. Warriors Picks & Predictions for November 20
The Cavaliers lead the Eastern Conference at 9-3. Overall, Golden State made 52.1 percent of their shots to 50 percent for the Clippers.
In the first quarter, Paul returned from a groin injury to provide a hot start to give the Clippers a lead that they held for the majority of the game. The reigning MVP had 40 points, 11 rebounds and three steals. The hustle from Thompson paid off, as he dished to Curry, who took the pass in stride and promptly knocked down the go-ahead 3-pointer.
For a team like the Clippers, it means being in transition as much as possible. Not only is Curry averaging over 34 points per contest, he’s shooting 11.5 three-pointers per game and making 45.3 percent of them.
Barnes hit three of his six three-point attempts on a 20-point night. Barnes pulled down seven rebounds, including one offensive rebound. He also tied Green for the team lead with nine rebounds.
“It’s tough, obviously. We definitely had a few slips and errors there but in the fourth quarter we need to do a better job and take advantage (of having the lead)”.
The Clippers had a 10-point lead with five minutes remaining in the game, but the Warriors went a little nuts to close things out.
While he was listed as “doubtful” prior to the start of the evening, Paul provided 35 points in 32 minutes of play and looked no worse for wear throughout the game.
Thompson hit a 3 for a 113-112 lead in the fourth. He sat down with two early fouls in the first quarter.
But Warriors interim head coach Luke Walton kept him in the game. An 8-2 spurt to finish the quarter capped off by an Andre Iguodala jumper meant the Warriors were only down one at 29-28 after one.
The total has gone OVER in 5 of Golden State’s last 6 games when playing Chicago.
Offense: The Warriors scored 39 points in the fourth quarter. The Bulls will have to hope the Warriors expelled all their energy Thursday night against the Clippers. But it isn’t just how many wins the Warriors have or whom they’ve beaten that’s been so impressive. The visitors assisted on 31 of 38 field goals. “I think they made a statement that they’re more together”.
“Those numbers are insane”, Clippers star Blake Griffin (27 points) told the AP.
Jamal Crawford followed with 15 points while Austin Rivers had 10 points off the bench.
J.R. Smith added 18 points for Cleveland.
We know-we know!-not to count the Warriors out when they’re in a hole, but a 23-point deficit to one of the best teams in the National Basketball Association shouldn’t be a hole, it should be a chasm.
“The recipe against the Clippers is you can’t give them easy points”, said Curry, who committed seven turnovers.
There are so many reasons for the Warriors’ astonishing start to the season. The other was the 1957-58 Boston Celtics.
If the Golden State Warriors didn’t lose this one to the Los Angeles Clippers, is it safe to assume they’re going to be undefeated at the end of this season?
