Northwestern Wildcats vs. Wisconsin Badgers
Two more wins for Northwestern would give the program its second 10-win season in Pat Fitzgerald’s 10 years as head coach.
Clayton Thorson has done a decent job at quarterback for Northwestern even though he isn’t putting up world class numbers and the defense has been one of the best in the Big Ten.
Second place in the Big Ten West and jockeying for bowl position, though Wisconsin still has a longshot chance at an outright division title if it wins its last two games and leader Iowa loses out.
Wisconsin is laying double digits over Northwestern in this one. Jackson gashed the Badgers for 162 on 33 carries in a Wildcats victory last season. In their two other road games Northwestern beat Duke in a low-scoring affair and Nebraska in a close contest.
ABOUT WISCONSIN (8-2, 5-1): Fresh off his 113-yard, three-TD performance in his return after a seven-game layoff following sports hernia surgery, running back Corey Clement was sidelined again in the Badgers’ November 7 win over Maryland and did not practice during the team’s bye week. “So, it’s exciting”, said quarterback Joel Stave.
If you’re not in Madison, where it snowed through the night and into Saturday morning, below is broadcast information for Saturday’s game. The game marks the last time many of Wisconsin’s players will take the field at Camp Randall Stadium.
