Black Friday 2015: UK Shoppers expected to almost DOUBLE their spend on
The average shopper dropped $155.55 with online retailers, down 10.2% from the year before.
However, recent reports about just how successful a weekend it will be for retailers are all over the map.
Christmas is on the way and so is Black Friday, but that’s not all, ‘Cyber Monday‘ is another bargain frenzy that is worth keeping an eye on. The study asked consumers about their preferences as far as which weeks they’ll visit stores and their anticipated budgets. One-quarter (25.4%) of 18-24 year olds will or may shop on Thanksgiving Day and almost one-third (32.7%) of 25-34 year olds will make room for shopping after turkey and dessert.
While massive retailers like Amazon, Walmart, Target and Best Buy are certainly great places to score online Black Friday deals, a few smaller retailers have online deals that are just as good.
“Many online shoppers have traditionally started their online shopping after Thanksgiving dinner”, says Brad Olson, Owner of GottaDeal.com. Sale prices should be good at least through Black Friday, if not longer, while supplies last. The deal will be live on Thanksgiving Day at 6 PM in-store, so you will have to make your plans according to that.
Amazon starts Black Friday sale eight days earlier and will start releasing new deals every five minutes starting November 20. If you aren’t a prime member, you can join the Amazon Prime free trial and get all the free-shipping and shopping benefits for the holiday season this year at no cost.
The rock-bottom “doorbuster”, prices are reserved for Thursday night and Friday morning, the day after Thanksgiving.
