Star Wars: The Force Awakens is not what George Lucas wanted

Having sold Lucas Films to Disney three years ago, the new “Star Wars” film “Episode VII: The Force Awakens” which will open next month is the first film of the franchise that has not been directed by Lucas.
Unfortunately, due to the success of “Star Wars”, the films were expected to be done a certain way, thus creating limitations Luxas wasn’t comfortable with.
The limited edition was produced in collaboration with Marvel’s fine art publisher, Choice Fine Art and Acme Archives and will pay tribute to a few of the most memorable characters such as Han Solo, Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader. The creative team wanted to match the “fun and delight”, and Kasdan said it “moves like a son of a bitch, and you don’t question too much”.
And in a dig at those who have slated his prequel trilogy films, he revealed that the character he would most like to be is Jar Jar Binks. I hope kids my age have as good an experience as I did so we’ll get yet another generation of Star Wars fans.
In his interview with Rose, Lucas compared the split with Disney to a break-up and decided that it was best to completely break from Star Wars. “I started out in experimental films and I want to go back to experimental films”, he added.
